Jean Castex announced that the vaccination pass should officially replace the health pass from Monday January 24, 2022. But the Constitutional Council has yet to decide.
The date was still uncertain, it is now official: the vaccination pass should come into force throughout France on Monday January 24, 2022, if the Constitutional Council validates it.
The health pass as we currently know it will no longer exist. It was Jean Castex who announced it on January 20, 2022 during a conference which aimed to present measures to alleviate certain measures to combat the health crisis.
The Constitutional Council must however still decide on the vaccination pass this Friday, January 21, 2022, which the Prime Minister mentioned. His opinion is expected in particular on the crucial notion of identity checks by managers of establishments open to the public, or the use of the pass for minors (between 16 and 18 years old).
The date of January 24 is very close to that which had leaked in the code of TousAntiCovid-Vérif, as Numerama had noted last week.
What is the difference between the health pass and the vaccination pass?
There is a major difference between the vaccination pass and the health pass: the antigen or PCR test will no longer appear in the first.
The vaccination pass can only contain three things, of your choice:
Previously, the health pass could contain a negative test (less than 24 hours). whether PCR or antigenic.
The vaccination pass must be presented in places open to the public where the health pass was already required, such as restaurants, cafes, cinemas.
The vaccination pass will concern everyone over the age of 16.
The idea of the government is clear and assumed: to push the millions of unvaccinated French women and men to make an appointment to be vaccinated.
