Last year OnePlus presented the OnePlus 9 Series, phones that emphasized the photographic section, not so much because of the hardware started as because of the improvement in image processing. For this the company had signed an agreement with Hasselblad. The results were not bad, and little by little we were seeing new functions related to this agreement.
When OnePlus announced that it would be integrated into OPPO, we did not know if this collaboration would be extended to the parent company, but the first leaked images of the OPPO Find X5 Pro confirmed it.
OPPO announces an agreement with Hasselblad
Now the Chinese company has officially announced a three-year agreement with Hasselblad (the same duration as the one it had with OnePlus) to work together to improve the cameras of the OPPO Find X Series.
It seems that the company wants to stand out in the photographic section since in recent years it has been at a high level, but always behind brands such as Samsung or Apple.
This agreement, called Hasselblad Camera for Mobile, will allow OPPO to integrate the OnePlus 9 Series processing system, and its improvements, into the OPPO Find X Series in the coming years.
As explained in the announcement, OPPO will focus on offering more realistic colors, especially in portraits, and through all cameras, something that very few mobiles can do today.
Hardware input is essential
In addition, OPPO has an element that OnePlus phones lacked and that is mentioned in the press release, its new NPU.
the processor NPU MariSilicon X has been designed for many tasks, but photography is among its highest priorities. We do not know how its use will end up affecting the final images, but it is clear that OPPO wants the X5 Pro to be a reference in this section.
