Qualcomm presented the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC last week and we already know some smartphones that will be equipped with this high-end chip.
With the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1: a SoC dedicated to high-end smartphones. This chip will undoubtedly equip a good part of the smartphones of this range which will arrive in the second part of the year. Some brands have already unveiled designing phones with this new SoC with specific models for some.
Motorola: two smartphones with the latest chip from Qualcomm in preparation
The Frontier, with a 200MP main sensor
Motorola recently announced that its Frontier model will be equipped with a main sensor of 200 Mpx, which will make it possible to take photos of a definition higher than 16K. While there hasn’t been an official announcement, rumors say that the Motorola Frontier will run on Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
The Razr 3: a folding one with the latest SoC from Qualcomm
While the Razr 3 has not been officially announced, Motorola has revealed that it is developing a smartphone with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. But a easter egg in this announcement shows that this smartphone would be a folding one: we know that Motorola is working on the Razr 3, so it would potentially be this one.
Asus’ next ROG Phone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
As soon as Qualcomm announced, Asus took the opportunity to formalize its ROG Phone 6, which until then had not been formalized at all. The brand remains very succinct and has so far only spoken of the chip, without specifying any other technical specifications or revealing the design.
All we know is that the ROG Phone 6 will be announced soon and Asus is promoting improved battery life for its future gaming smartphone.
Xiaomi also in the race

If the model has not been specified, everything tends to believe that it would be the Xiaomi 12 Ultra according to rumors. This smartphone should be unveiled next month in China, and could be sold for more than 1200 euros when it is released. Its photo module could be developed in partnership with Leica, since the two brands announced a few days ago to work together.
The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition
The brand announced on the Chinese social network Weibo the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition; it will be the first edition of the Realme GT 2 to take advantage of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. An evolution for the GT 2, since the GT 2 Pro had a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Realme announces that other ” surprises will come later. As for Asus, nothing else has been formalized, except the existence of this Master Explorer Edition.
OnePlus is not left out
Like several other phone brands, OnePlus said on Weibo that it is working on a smartphone with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. It will be among the first models to take advantage of the SoC and expects us to arrive in the third quarter of 2022. According to Mukul Sharma, it would be the OnePlus 10 Ultra, which is likely if we believe some rumors.

The other brands that will release a smartphone with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
Other brands will integrate Qualcomm’s SoC into their phones. Some have already announced at the chip presentation conference that they want to equip one of their smartphones. These brands include Black Shark, Honor, IQOO, Lenovo, Nubia, Oppo, OSOM, RegMagic, Redmi, Vivo, and ZTE. Smartphones that would arrive in the third quarter of this year.
