Croatia has a surplus of HRK 56.88 billion in relation to the funds paid into the European Union budget

A total of EUR 10.73 billion (HRK 81.56 billion) is available from the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) for the period 2014-2020.
Until 15 June 2022, projects worth EUR 13.53 billion (HRK 102.84 billion) were contracted, ie 126.10% of the allocated funds.
A total of EUR 7.80 billion (HRK 59.30bn) was disbursed, ie 72.71% of the allocated funds, and EUR 6.25 billion (HRK 47.50bn) was disbursed, ie 58.24% of the allocated funds.
If we look at the original allocation of ESI funds 2014-2020 in the amount of 10.73 billion euros to which we add 763.17 million euros from REACT EU and 597.56 million euros added to the Rural Development Program, the total allocation until 2023 is 12.09 billion euros.
In the period from 2013 to 15 June 2022, the difference between the funds paid from the European Union budget to the budget of the Republic of Croatia and the funds paid from the Croatian budget to the European Union budget amounts to HRK 50.75 billion in favor of the Croatian budget. Including the advance paid for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Croatia is up HRK 56.88 billion.
