The PS5 exclusive from Lucid Games will have events, community challenges and improved game modes.
Lasting six weeks, the Rise, Unite and Survive events of Destruction AllStars on PS5 will be launched on June 22, August 10, 2022 and September 28, 2022 respectively: “They are based on a new mode or playlist, and come with an AllStar Pass. These contain many cosmetic elements, as well as monetary rewards allowing you to shine your AllStars on the track. They also contain a series of challenges to complete for various rewards, including currency, EXP and new cosmetic items.”

Rise will host a first community challenge that will encourage players to collaborate in order to unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards available to all as well as the penalty shootout team mode which requires being quick to score points. Note that the competitive Blitz mode will be back every weekend with a season system, a reworked ranking system and new cosmetic rewards that are as prestigious as they are exclusive.
A trailer for new Destruction AllStars seasonal content
Destruction AllStars will be available for free in the Extra and Premium plans of the new PlayStation Plus.
“So we’re happy to announce that anyone who played Destruction AllStars before the launch of the new PlayStation Plus service will receive a Founders Pack as a thank you. This reward will be available for free in the in-game store and will contain exclusive cosmetic items that will allow you to show off your skills and experience.“, says George Rule, marketing manager of the British studio Lucid Games. “All of this and more will be added to the major patch released last January. This patch was incredibly large and we tweaked many fundamental systems like collisions, network code optimization, impacts and point counting to ensure you have a better gameplay experience. We also improved the visual rendering and gameplay, thanks to a new main menu and new visual effects that focus on your actions in the arena, namely dodging, impact, double jump, everything goes! Speaking of which, I have to say my favorite mod is the ability to double jump at any time. The goal was primarily to rebalance the 17 AllStars, and this increased the fluidity and agility allowed in the arena.“
