The Vietnamese manufacturer, belonging to the Vingroup conglomerate, to which we owe the VF8 and VF9, has just announced the opening of 50 stores in Europe, including 20 in France. Enough to support the French marketing of its electric cars planned for the end of the year.
VinFast is a young Vietnamese car manufacturer. If you don’t know him yet, you can read our article about him. And by the end of the year, you will be able to come across the brand’s two SUVs on French roads: the VF8 and VF9. At the EVS35 exhibition in Oslo dedicated to electric vehicles, VinFast announced the opening of 50 stores in three European countries (Germany, France and the Netherlands), including 20 points of sale in France.
A sales and service network
For the moment, the Vietnamese company has unveiled the first eight cities in which the brand’s customers can come to see and buy the vehicles. These are Paris, Marseille, Nantes, Rennes, Nice, Montpellier, Aix-en-Provence and Metz. It lacks a few large cities, like Lyon, but the brand assured us that this agglomeration was indeed part of the list. These eight stores should open by the end of the year, in order to support the first deliveries of the VF8 and VF9, also scheduled for the end of 2022.

Among the 20 stores, some will have a workshop in order to carry out the maintenance and after-sales service of the brand’s vehicles. The salespeople and technicians will be employees of the brand. For customers who live far from a service center, VinFast has provided mobile workshops, taking the form of vans. The delivery of vehicles can also be done at home for these customers.
A complete range
During EVS35, VinFast took the opportunity to show the VF7, from the C segment, which had already been seen at CES along with the VF5 (segment A) and VF6 (segment B). The VF6 is planned for the European market, surely in 2023 or 2024 at the latest. For VF5 and VF6, it is still uncertain. We will have the opportunity to come back in more detail on the range in the days to come.
Regarding the prices, you can find them in our dedicated file. Note that you must add the monthly payments for the battery, since it will not be possible to buy it before first 2024 according to brand spokespersons. For example, you have to count 120 euros more per month for the VF8 and 150 euros per month for the VF9, unlimited mileage. For small riders, an option with 500 km per month is planned for later.
