Users of Vodafone’s CallYa tariffs can now use the 5G network of the Düsseldorf mobile phone provider at no extra charge. In some tariff variants there is also more data volume.

The Düsseldorf mobile phone provider Vodafone is upgrading its prepaid portfolio. As the company announced, all CallYa tariffs will now have unlimited access to the 5G network at no extra charge from June 30th. Up to now, anyone who wanted to surf the Internet with Turbo had to book it for a surcharge of EUR 2.99 – at least in the “Start”, “Classic”, “Allnet Flat S”, “Allnet Flat M” and “Allnet Flat L” tariff variants “. In the CallYa tariffs “Digital” and “Black”, on the other hand, 5G was already included free of charge.

Vodafone is also more generous when it comes to data volume: With the same prices, customers now receive 6 instead of 5 GB when booking the Allnet Flat M, and the data volume of the Allnet Flat L increases from 7 to 9 gigabytes.

There is also something new with the CallYa tariff Black, which is aimed primarily at extreme surfers. While users were previously able to access a data volume of 50 GB, this is now unlimited. The basic price remains the same at EUR 79.99 for 4 weeks.

Vodafone has not made any changes to the Digital tariff variant (EUR 20 for 4 weeks), which offers significantly more data volume with 15 GB for almost the same price as the Allnet Flat L (EUR 19.99) – but contact with customer service is only possible digitally here and there are no free minutes to other EU countries.

Positive: Existing customers also benefit from the improvements. They can activate the free 5G option in the MeinVodafone app from July 1st. In the course of the coming months, the 5G option will also be automatically activated for customers who have not yet activated access themselves. Vodafone promises that the data volume will also be increased automatically. The company wants to inform all existing customers in advance about the exact time of the changeover.
