The latest issue of the Gurman Newsletter outlines Apple’s roadmap. As further M2 Macs, new Mac minis with M2 and M2 Pro chips are planned, as well as new 14 and 16 inch MacBook Pros with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips and a new Mac Pro.
After the M2, who would have guessed it, comes an M3, debuting with an updated 13-inch MacBook Air. The M3 is also set to show up in a brand new 15-inch MacBook Air, an iMac, and maybe a 12-inch MacBook. This is “still in the early stages of development”.
The HomePod, codenamed B620, will work with the same S8 chip that powers the watches. It will be more like the original than a new HomePod mini in terms of size and audio performance. The new HomePod will have an updated display on the top, and there’s even been talk of multi-touch functionality.
The S8 chip of the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to share the specifications of the S7 and S6 chips. In addition, the S8 chip could also be used in the next Apple Watch SE.
