A neat and well-finished design
Presented alongside a Pro model, the Huawei MatePad 10.4 is more affordable while keeping the strengths of its big sister. It benefits from the same manufacturing quality as the Pro model, whose look is not far from being strongly inspired by that of the Apple iPad.
Smaller, with a 10.4-inch screen against 10.8 on the Pro version, the MatePad has a FullView panel with 2K resolution and thin borders. Huawei’s tablet has the advantage of being light and thin to accompany you everywhere on the go. Note that this tablet is devoid of Google services but the firm offers App Gallery with access to more than 400,000 applications.
Performance at the rendezvous
To operate efficiently, the Huawei MatePad embeds the Kirin 820 chip coupled with 6 GB of RAM. This configuration is not the most powerful, but will meet all uses, whether for binge watching your favorite series, running applications, and even 3D games without slowing down. The tablet also benefits from Huawei’s new OS: Harmony OS. It promises to deliver a better user experience and better productivity. As for its capacity, it is 64 GB of storage, but a microSD card reader is also included, in order to expand the storage capacity according to your needs, up to 512 GB.
In terms of autonomy, the Chinese firm offers a large 7,250 mAh battery, for 12.5 hours of video viewing. Enough to hold the device for at least 2 to 3 days in classic use. With a 22.5W charge, the battery can be recharged to 30% in 30 minutes and to full capacity in 2.5 hours. It’s quite light, but it’s still that price.
