When you start using iOS 16 and macOS Ventura, it should be easier for you and your friends to game together. The Game Center on both systems gets a handy SharePlay integration from Apple. The option won’t come to your iPhone, iPad, and Mac computer right away, unfortunately.
With the introduction of iOS 15 and macOS Monterey, Apple brought SharePlay to its users. This allows users to initiate and manage a FaceTime call while doing something else. For example, friends and family members can watch the same content together at the same time.
iOS 16 in Ventura update SharePlay
And with iOS 16 and macOS Ventura, SharePlay is getting an update. You can also play multiplayer games together with your friends and family. This does not apply to every game. Because you can only play the games that support Game Center. But luckily there are a lot of them now.
Unfortunately, the Game Center component for SharePlay will not be available immediately when Apple releases iOS 16 and macOS Ventura. The Game Center update will be released later in the year. Of course, Apple doesn’t skip iPadOS 16. Let’s hope this isn’t a repeat of the moves regarding SharePlay.
More options for Game Center
In addition, Game Center is getting some attention from Apple. This gives the center access to your contacts. This way you can see exactly who is playing what at what time. You can then immediately ask if you can participate in a game. But this option will also only appear at a later time, Apple says.

Finally, the Game Center dashboard will be overhauled. The interface has been simplified a bit and now puts more emphasis on activities and achievements. This update is already available for download from the App Store. So we have to wait a little longer for the other functionalities; let’s hope it doesn’t take too long.
