WWDC is in full swing and we get a first look at iOS 16. The new operating system also has consequences for the AirPods.
It’s that time again: the WWDC is at it again. This time again physically at Apple Park where we are. It is the developer conference for Apple’s products. In addition to the many events for app makers, Apple also presents the new operating system for the iPhone: iOS 16. This time, the system also brings benefits for AirPods owners.
Adjust your AirPods settings
It is now easier for AirPods and Beats owners to adjust the settings of the earbuds via their iPhone. This can be done via the Settings app if the accessories are connected to the phone.
In iOS 15, it can be a bit complicated to find the settings of your AirPods. To do this, you have to open the Bluetooth settings and then click on the i next to the AirPods that are in the list of devices.
A new way in iOS 16
With iOS 16 and iPad 16, this is no longer necessary. You can now see the settings of the AirPods directly under your name in the settings. This makes it much easier to digitally adjust your favorite earphones. For example, think about what happens if you tap the earbuds or if you want to use a specific microphone, which is useful if one isn’t working properly, for example.
iOS 16: These improvements and new features are coming to your iPhone
In addition, the settings of the AirPods have changed slightly. For example, with models that have Spatial Audio, it is possible to adjust it to your preferences. In addition, certain AirPods can also be seen in the Find My app.
Don’t like all those changes? No problem, because the settings of the AirPods can also be found via the Bluetooth menu. This way you can continue to adjust the ears the old-fashioned way if you find it easier.
