A charger with two USB-C ports
This new MacBook Air will therefore be sold with a mains charger.compact” with a power of 35 W. The big news is that it has not one, but two USB-C ports. But all of this, we already knew in part, since this charger had leaked last April.
This allows you to charge two devices at once. For example, on a train, you can charge both your Apple laptop, but also your iPhone or other.
Fast charging is coming to the MacBook Air
This 2022 version with the M2 chip of the MacBook Air now includes fast charging. According to tests carried out by Apple, it can recover up to 50% autonomy in 30 minutes. However, for this, it will be necessary to use the 67 W USB-C mains charger sold by Apple, sold as an option. To get it, you will have to pay an extra 20 euros, for a charger that has only one USB-C port. However, it is not yet known if it will be available in France.
What recharge it quickly, even if in the majority of cases it will not be needed. During its WWDC, Apple announced 18 hours of video playback for its ultra-portable with the new M2 chip. Of course, we will have to see how the latter reacts in real use.
