“The future of Internet Explorer on Windows 10 lies in Microsoft Edge. Not only is Microsoft Edge a faster, safer, and more modern search experience than Internet Explorer, but it also addresses a key issue – compatibility for older, outdated websites and applications. Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) is built into Microsoft Edge, allowing you to view older Web sites and applications based on Internet Explorer.
Because Microsoft Edge is able to take on this, as well as other responsibilities, Internet Explorer 11, the desktop computer program will be shut down and phased out of support for certain versions of Windows 10 as of June 15, 2022. . ”
Internet Explorer is a web browser nearly three decades old. It was launched in 1995 as part of the Windows 95 operating system, and was most popular almost two decades ago, in 2003, when it had as much as 95% market share. But with the advent of competition, the customer base has declined.
