A brief summary of the situation on the market of “really smart” watches, ie those with an open operating system. Apple clearly dominates the entire segment, also because Google has left it and is constantly postponing its reference model. Samsung saves the situation at least a little with its latest generation of watches, which bring at least a little modern hardware and features. But beware: their operating system is called “Wear OS 3 by Samsung”. Although it is fully compatible with applications and functionally identical, the Korean manufacturer still has some hooks hidden here, such as the possibility to require a smartphone of the same brand for some functions.

But now he’s getting at least some competition. Montblanc Summit 3 is a smart watch whose operating system is called Wear OS by Google 3.0. Looking at the technology specifications, this is probably the last interesting thing. Other features are like a copier from an older watch: Snapdragon Wear 4100+, 1.28 “AMOLED display, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB storage, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi and NFC. The manufacturer does not boast of a battery or battery life, so you can wait one obligatory day.

The manufacturer focused far more on the processing itself. The body of the watch combines titanium, stainless steel and sapphire crystal. The strap should be made of the most selected leather with hand-made metal elements. It sounds luxurious as well as other assortment of the given manufacturer. The price tag of € 1,270, ie over 31,000 crowns, also corresponds to this. Deliveries to the Czech Republic should start in the second half of July.
