Xiaomi 12 Lite is unpacked

Xiaomi has so far been very reserved with its core brand of smartphones. While many cheap Redmi and Poco phones are flooding the market, Xiaomi only had the 12 and 12 Pro directly. Xiaomi has not yet presented an Ultra and Lite. What is clear is that on July 4th, three new high-end smartphones, the 12S, 12S Pro and 12S Ultra, and finally a real camera flagship will be unveiled in China. No sign of the 12 Lite or 12S Lite – until now. The mid-range phone, whose predecessor is very popular, is shown in a first unboxing video:

In it, the new smartphone is unpacked and a lot of technical data is revealed. For example, the Xiaomi 12 Lite has a 120 Hz display, comes with a 108 MP camera and can be quickly recharged with 67 watts. Visually, the cell phone is based on the Xiaomi 12 models and, like its predecessor, looks very slim. This smartphone will Be Xiaomi’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy A53. It was actually expected weeks if not months ago and could be unveiled soon.

But not only the video of the Xiaomi 12 Lite has appeared, but also new press photos published by professional leaker Evan Blass:

You can take a look at the revised design in detail and already know which colors will be available. The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE was launched in Germany for 370 euros, but is currently available much cheaper (see Amazon). If the Xiaomi 12 Lite were to appear with the much improved equipment for less than 400 euros, it would be a strong alternative to the Samsung Galaxy A53 (test). Ultimately, however, we first have to wait and see whether the Xiaomi 12 Lite will really be presented together with the S models. Somehow it wouldn’t fit in with the old name anymore.
