Elastic, the company behind Elasticsearch, has introduced new capabilities for managing cloud risk, security posture, and workload protection with Elastic Security for Cloud.

Elastic Security for Cloud extends the functionality of Elastic Security by combining security measures for cloud-native and hybrid environments with Infrastructure Detection and Response (IDR). This is intended to provide customers with comprehensive visibility into cloud workloads and expert prevention, detection and mitigation capabilities. With the unified Elastic Search Platform, customers can also search for risks during deployment as well as threats during runtime. Elastic Security also provides preconfigured rules and machine learning models to identify known and unknown threats using insights from Elastic Security Labs – the Elastic team for threat research and malware analysis.
