Google Pixel 6 and the flagship Google Pixel 6 Pro are in many ways well-equipped smartphones that do not lack quality photo equipment, original design or a powerful chipset. What, on the contrary, they can’t boast about (at least so far) is a reliable fingerprint reader that would work as it should for as long as the mentioned models are on the market.

Fans of this series could be pleased that at least the upcoming Pixel 6a will not struggle with this ailment. In the published video on YouTube by Fazli Halim, we can see a comparison of the speed of unlocking the finger with the reader on Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6a (at 4:55), when the Pixel 6a reader seems to be significantly faster. Let’s also add that Google has confirmed for androidcentral.com that the novelty will use a different type of sensor. So we can only hope that Pixel 6a will have a reliable fingerprint reader from the beginning, the use of which will not cause users unnecessary wrinkles on the forehead.
