Rijeka high school students received a valuable donation for the needs of practical classes

The Rijeka School of Mechanical Engineering for Industrial and Craft Professions and Porsche Croatia signed a cooperation agreement under which this educational institution was given a valuable donation of a specialized vehicle for the needs of educating all students.

The donation made a model of the Volkswagen Touran vehicle with pre-programmed errors permanently available, which will be repaired by students of the Rijeka school in their practical classes. In this way, all students who are trained as car mechanics, car mechanics and car mechanics are provided with the possibility of additional education by conducting practical classes on the technology of car manufacturers that are most represented in Croatia.

“Through training, we train our students to repair and maintain cars, trucks and trucks. Practical classes in vocational education are a necessity and a priority, which is why we are especially pleased with this cooperation. With the donation of Porsche Croatia, we received a vehicle that will be of immense benefit for the education of our students and their preparation for the labor market. In addition, with this novelty we have the opportunity to raise the level of education for students who attend our school today, but also generations of students who will attend it in the coming years, “said Gojko Miletic, director of the School of Mechanical Engineering for Industrial and Craft in Rijeka.

In addition to the donation of vehicles, teachers and students of the Rijeka school will also have at their disposal experts in training in service technology from Porsche Croatia, who will provide them with all the necessary support. Thus, during the donation, the education of the teaching staff and professors was held, who will lead practical classes for the students who are being educated in that school today.

“The automotive industry is changing faster and faster, and with the development of technology within new vehicles, there is a need for new knowledge of car mechanics. By implementing this donation, Porsche Croatia is continuing its systematic community investment program as part of its corporate social responsibility strategy. Among other things, over the past 10 years, 20 children’s playgrounds throughout Croatia have been renovated, and since 2019, financial support has been provided to many students without adequate parental care through participation in the humanitarian action “Step into Life” organized by Rotary Club Zagreb Kaptol.
