Samsung has not yet officially revealed when the next Unpacked event will take place, but an insider has taken it on for the group. In addition to new folding cell phones and smartwatches, there will also be another version of the Galaxy S22.

Samsung-Unpacked-Event am 10. August 2022

In a few weeks, Samsung will present new products at an Unpacked event. It was already known that the event would take place sometime in August. The date, however, not yet. Jon Prosser is a well-informed insider with reliable information. He has learned that Samsung’s next Unpacked event will take place on August 10, 2022. The products presented there will be be available from August 26, 2022 (Those: Jon Prosser). Pre-orders should be possible immediately after the event.

The following products will be presented at the Samsung event:

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 (40 mm)
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 (44 mm)
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (46 mm)

Samsung is not only saying goodbye to the classic version with a rotating bezel, but also to a smaller Pro smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch 5 will therefore continue to be available in two sizes, but the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro only in a 46 mm version. That’s a very unusual strategy that Samsung is pursuing. Maybe after the event you will find out why the company is doing this.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic does not get a successor:

New Samsung Galaxy S22 is also coming

In addition to the really new products, Samsung will also offer a new version of the Galaxy S22. A version in the new Lavender color will also be available from August 26, 2022. Of course, everyone has to answer for themselves whether the purchase is worthwhile. The Galaxy S22 is now much cheaper, so buying a different color at the suggested retail price is hardly worth it. But if you wait, the smartphone in the new color could be quite interesting.
