Samsung updates the camera of Galaxy S22 series smartphones. The brand announces that it wants to improve the sharpness, the contrast but also the white balance of its high-end products.
Photo quality is one of the points most highlighted by Samsung on its Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra. We should also see the arrival of an update to the S22 series within the next few weeks, which will improve the camera on several points.
Samsung is rolling out an update to the S22s this month
It’s the leaker IceUniverse spotted a post on Samsung’s Korean forums posted a few days ago. We learned that an update on the camera software is launched on the S22, graciously named S90xNKSU1AVF1. A fairly substantial download since it is 1.7 GB. It is being deployed in South Korea, but could arrive here in the coming weeks.
The Korean version of the S22 Ultra has been updated with the latest firmware AVF1, 1.7GB. Better photo performance
Samsung seems to want to refine several points on the software performance of its cameras. Sharpness and contrast should be improved, as should auto white balance. Other optimizations are present in this update, such as that of the use of memory for recording videos or that of images taken with portrait mode.
But Samsung also takes the opportunity to fix a bug in the Single Take mode, which prevented taking other photos after using it. As a reminder, this option allows you to take several photos and videos at the same time, so as not to miss anything of the scene you are capturing.
