Xiaomi: New Leica phones only for China?
Just a few weeks ago, Xiaomi announced a cooperation with the traditional German manufacturer Leica. The iconic red logo can already be seen on the first pictures of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra – yes maybe we rejoiced too soon in Europe. According to new information, Xiaomi could offer a whole series of smartphones with Leica support only in China.
That’s supposed to be that too Xiaomi 12 Ultra which may be marketed as part of the 12S series under the name Xiaomi 12S Ultra. With the Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro, the manufacturer could also decide not to sell the smartphones outside of China. With the foldable Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, it cannot currently be assumed that it will be officially available in Germany.
The rumors refer to the fact that in certification databases so far only Chinese variants of the phones have surfaced are. The otherwise usual “G” suffix (“global”) in the model names is missing so far.

Xiaomi: only 12T series for Europe?
According to the Spanish Xiaomiui community, after all the negative news, there is still something of a small bright spot. At least it should Getting Xiaomi’s 12T series to Europepossibly in the form of a Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro (Source: Xiaomiui bei Twitter).
Meanwhile, new references to the equipment have appeared for the Xiaomi 12T. The cell phone should therefore have a fast Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 as the processor introduced by Qualcomm in May 2022. Other highlights are likely to be the display (AMOLED, 120 Hz) and the battery (120 watt charging capacity).
