Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl sortira in 2023
GSC Game World hopes to be able to release Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl next year. The studio released this new launch window in a trailer it recently unveiled as part of the Microsoft Xbox Games Showcase Extended event. GSC had so far planned to release the game before the end of the year, but it was becoming increasingly difficult to meet this date, especially once the company had to put development on hold due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The GSC studio had to face many difficulties
Fans had spotted this new launch window when the Redmond company released an update to the Xbox Game Pass during its Xbox and Bethesda presentation this Sunday. “It happened a little earlier than we expected, we wanted to unveil this announcement in the coming days,” a GSC Game World spokesperson told PC Gamer on Monday. “But yes, the game is now scheduled for 2023.”
In addition to a brand new trailer, the studio has also released a new vlog detailing some of the difficulties its teams have had to face since the start of the invasion in Ukraine. GSC recently resumed work on Stalker 2 after relocating some of its staff to Prague. The studio has also changed the subtitle from “Heart of Chernobyl” to “Heart of Chornobyl” to reflect the Ukrainian spelling of the site where the terrible nuclear disaster of 1986 took place.
