A new redesigned version of the iPad mini
The iPad mini had not been renewed since 2019: this 6th iteration was therefore welcome. The new iPad mini thus grants itself a nice upgrade. The design has been changed, and the tablet now sports flat edges. The aluminum chassis is as neat as ever, and a new 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display (LCD) has been installed. The grip is very pleasant, the daily use, fluid.
You will be able to use the 2nd generation Apple Pencil with this model, which will be ideal for creative people. On the other hand, it will be necessary to ignore FaceID: only Touch ID is offered, on the edge.
On the photo part, it is a 12 MP wide-angle sensor which is placed at the back. For the front camera, widely used on tablets, Apple has installed a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle as well. Functionality Center Stage integrated allows you to center your face no matter what.
A small but powerful tablet
Power, the iPad mini has it in spades, despite its small size. It is powered by the A15 Bionic chip, which allows it to compete with the iPhone 13. You will therefore have no problem launching most games or doing photo editing. You will of course have access to all applications from the App Store. On this model, the storage is 256 GB. You will have to give up on 5G but Wi-Fi 6 is integrated.
iPad OS 15 is installed natively. This adapted version of iOS offers particularly pleasant, intuitive ergonomics, without slowdowns. Finally, on autonomy, the tablet is doing very well, with 10 hours away from an electrical outlet, during rather intensive use.
