Efforts are being made to avoid repeating the mistakes of the summer of 2020, and it was planned to broadcast most major conferences within three weeks. Most of the usual hosts have already confirmed that they will hold their events. Sony hosted State of Play earlier than expected, and overlapped with the start of Summer Game Fest, which was neutral for the publisher. Microsoft and Bethesda had another combined role, and was surrounded by many other famous names like the PC Gaming Show.
EA was not present and Nintendo’s plans remained unknown at this time.
