Xiaomi today officially unveiled its first-ever 2in1 laptop, which has the option of separating the touch screen from the classic keyboard. The Xiaomi Book S attracts a 12.4 “high-brightness display with 500 nits with a resolution of 2,560 × 1,600 pixels. As we have already said, the display is a touch screen and is protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 glass.

However, the control does not necessarily have to be entrusted to the touch of your fingers. The display is also friendly with the Xiaomi Smart Pen and possibly also with a pluggable keyboard. The manufacturer presents the novelty as a versatile work device, which can be trusted with regard to the operating system. Windows 11 S is deployed, while the S version can be irreversibly switched to standard Windows 11.

The performance should be more than sufficient, as the computer is equipped with an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor with a 7nm manufacturing process. The processor is accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR4x memory and 256GB of SSD.

The novelty is also equipped with a pair of cameras. On the back is a 13 megapixel sensor and on the front is a Full HD camera primarily for video calls. It also got two microphones that support Qualcomm Aqstic Echo Cancellation and Noise Suppression (ECNS). Stereo speakers and a 3.5mm jack are also available. There is also a USB-C on the body for transferring up to 4K images and, of course, charging. The manufacturer promises 13 hours of endurance in normal work, while the charge will be brisk thanks to the 65W charger.

The brand new convertible Xiaomi Book S already has an official European price of 699 euros, ie approximately 17,000 crowns.
