Today, the Google Pay app will become Google Wallet and will support new digital items. The Google Wallet application will be available in Croatia on Android and Wear OS systems and will standardize the way to store and access essential items such as payment cards, event tickets, boarding passes or loyalty cards.
Also, Google Wallet will enable easy integration with other Google applications and services. For example, a user can add a boarding pass to the Google Wallet application, which will allow easy and quick access at all times. Also, Google Wallet can inform the user about the flight status and remind him of the boarding time. To find a boarding pass, users simply need to open the Google Wallet app, swipe up on the screen and tap the pass they want to use.
Privacy and security are fundamental features of the Google Wallet application, and the settings ensure privacy settings that suit the user’s wishes and needs. Highly personal items such as payment cards will not be shared, even on Google, without the user’s permission. In addition, if the user loses the phone or it is stolen, the user can find it, lock it or delete data from the device using the “Find My Device” function.
In the coming days, all users will be updated from the Google Pay app to Google Wallet. Users with auto-update turned on will see their app automatically update to the Google Wallet app. Users without automatic updates will need to update manually through the Play Store.
