The iPad Pro is more powerful, bigger and more impressive than ever before. In the past few years, the tablet has developed into a real powerhouse. Something that is also reflected in the weight of the device.
Fortunately, Apple seems to really change that from 2024, with the introduction of the long-awaited OLED display. Provided the newly obtained information is correct, of course.
New iPad Pro lighter than predecessor
The editors of ET News report that Apple will equip its most impressive tablet with an OLED screen in 2024. The long-awaited development reportedly not only provides better image quality, but also makes the iPad Pro a lot lighter. That applies to both the 11-inch and the 12.9-inch model.
ET News can’t say exactly how many grams the iPad Pro will be lighter at the moment. According to the website, Apple is currently producing the final prototypes. It is the first time that the company produces such a screen for its tablets, so it works with different models.
In addition to using an OLED panel, the American company is also working on a so-called Display Dry Etching Process. By using chemical technology it is possible to remove unnecessary parts of the screen. This makes the screen not only thinner, but also lighter.
