Converting a PDF file is not an easy task. Nevertheless, there are certain ways to achieve this, we explain how in this article.

It is very difficult to modify or convert a PDF file. For good reason, the format of this file is subject to a rigorous and very complex rule. This was designed to preserve and keep its layout, combining both text and images as they were produced by its initial author.

IlovePDF is a very practical website and mobile application (iOS and Android) for PDF lovers, especially students. This tool is free and will allow you to modify, merge, write and convert your files without incurring the slightest risk, all for free.

Its use is both very simple and very fast – all you have to do is select the file in question, and click on the ” convert ».

You will then have to wait a few seconds to see your new file available for download. This will certainly save you a lot of time.

Directly with Microsoft Office

Note that, if the Microsoft Office suite is already installed on your computer, you will be able to convert a PDF file to Word directly from it. The procedure to follow is simple, you can do it from Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Just open the file you want to convert, and follow these steps:

  • On Word, click ” File » et « Save as “. We suggest that you change the name of your file, because you may have a duplicate and lose the previous file.
  • Then you just need to change the PDF box to ” Word in the list of file formats.

As mentioned above, you can also convert your PDF files using other tools in the Microsoft Office office suite; let’s take the Excel example here. Spreadsheet software can be very useful to you and can be used to convert your PDF files to another format. To do this, and as for the first example, you will need to follow these steps:

  • First, open the document.
  • Then click on ” File » et « Save as ».
  • Finally, select the PDF or other format, in the list that the document offers, and click on ” To register ».

And other software

Note that most software allows you to “Export as” files in PDF format, this is the case for example of Adobe Reader which is able to convert your PDF file easily, but is still paying.

If, however, you do not have access to the Office Pack, for one reason or another, know that you can download the LibreOffice office suite for free. It will allow you to convert your Word, Excel and PowerPoint files to PDF format for free.
