iOS/iPadOS 15.6 removes battery indicator for AirTags, solves iPad Mini charging issues | TechBuzz

The day before yesterday Apple released some updates, including iOS and iPadOS 15.6. Now there are small, new details. On the one hand, the charging problems with the iPad Mini 6 have been resolved, on the other hand, the AirTags’ battery indicator has disappeared.

Let’s start with the problem – we previously reported that the iPad Mini 6 was recently experiencing charging issues. Some iPads could no longer be charged, a restart only helped to a limited extent against the problem. Apple now claims to have fixed the bug with iPadOS 15.6.

AirTags battery indicator disappeared

The AirTags have a CR2032 battery that powers the small accessory. A battery indicator was previously available in the Where Is? app, but this has disappeared with iOS 15.6. It shouldn’t be a mistake, because there is an alternative. When the AirTags become empty, there is a notification.
