Director Matthew Vaughn’s third Kingsman movie is set to conclude the story arc of character Gary “Eggsy” Unwin, aka Galahad, played by Taron Egerton.
In the latest episode of the Jess Cagle Podcast with Julia Cunningham, British comedian Taron Egerton was asked about Kingsman 3 and revealed that filming is in principle expected for 2023: “I believe we are going to shoot the third part of my saga next year. But you know, don’t listen to what I say because I really don’t know. You know, these are adult decisions.”

For the record, Kingsman 3 was to be shot directly following The King’s Man, prequel / spin-off and adaptation of Mark Millar’s comics, at the base before the plans were modified due to the takeover of 20th Century Fox by Disney . The coronavirus pandemic then took a toll on the entire industry since 2020 as new filming was planned for September 2022. If the production of the third film is not yet in jeopardy, the adventures of Eggsy could be concluded by now. 2024.
“We’ve planted seeds for what’s to come in Kingsman 3 several times in The King’s Man“, had declared Matthew Vaughn to Empire. “And it’s gonna be very different from other movies“. Originally, he planned to give the next film to another director, but he now plans to pursue the franchise himself. “In fact, I don’t know what I want to do“, he explained. “There is an opportunity for a director to really change things, but I’m still thinking about it.“
