OnePlus unveils the photo offer of the OnePlus 10TAs well as several shots taken with its smartphone even before its launch event expected on August 3. There is a main sensor a little less efficient than on the OnePlus 10 Pro and already used on its Nord range. It could still be caught up in the processing power of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, however.
Do smartphone announcement dates still really make sense these days? Expected for August 3, OnePlus is soon on the way to lifting the veil on its next smartphone, the OnePlus 10T. But before that, we are already entitled to a small taste of size. Indeed, the brand now reveals the photo characteristics of the smartphone.
A photo offer lower than the OnePlus 10 Pro
In a message on its forum, OnePlus tells us more about its next smartphone and continues to arouse expectations around the launch by sharing the characteristics of its photo block.
We now know for sure that the OnePlus 10T which will use the 50MP Sony IMX766 as the main camera. This is the same sensor found on the OnePlus Nord 2/2T or on the Nothing phone (1) more recently. This sensor benefits from optical (and electronic) stabilization and will be able to capture images in 10 bits to offer a greater range of colors on the shots.
This main sensor will be accompanied here by an ultra wide-angle of 119.9 degrees and a macro lens, which could well correspond to what we have been able to see so far in certain leaks. OnePlus could also just as easily reuse the same sensors as on the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The Chinese brand also announces that the photos will benefit from its new Image Clarity Engine (ICE) which will allow the OnePlus 10T to capture images faster and with more detail. However, this smartphone will not benefit from the partnership between OnePlus and Hasselblad this time around.
A sensor enhanced by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1?
However, the presence of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the image processing it will offer could well pull this sensor a little higher. OnePlus therefore seems to have made some concessions for this device which could however be offered at a price substantially identical to the previous model.
The brand would make up for it in other areas, however. One of the strengths of this OnePlus 10T could notably reside, in addition to its processor, in its recharging speed which would reach 150 W according to the latest rumors. Enough to submit a different proposal to the public for the return of the T models to OnePlus.
