Most smartphone users don’t think about which and what kind of drive chip drives their smartphone. There are, of course, those for whom this is the most important factor when choosing a phone.
The current top chips in the world of smartphones are based on a 4nm technological process, which makes them the most efficient so far, but it can also be better.
Samsung has now started producing 3nm chips, and they claim that they will be up to 45% more efficient compared to 5nm chips like the Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100.
They also announced that the new 3nm chip would offer up to 23% better performance, again compared to 5nm chips.
We’d rather hear what the differences will be compared to the current 4nm SoCs, but this way it probably sounds like a much bigger improvement.
Samsung’s 3nm chips will first find their place in some specialized systems, and later quite likely in smartphones as well.
It should also be reminded of the rumors, according to which Samsung does not intend to equip its Galaxy S23 series with its own Exynos chip, but with chips from the Qualcomm offer, and possibly MediaTek.
