  • Xiaomi Mi 8 Discovery Edition

  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 (5G)
  • Xiaomi Mi Play
  • Redmi S2
  • Redmi 6 Pro

If you own and use one of the cell phones mentioned, you have to think about a new purchase. Xiaomi is discontinuing all support with regard to hardware and software. So there will be neither manufactures spare parts nor distributes software updates. The mobile phones are officially retired and should no longer be used for security-related things such as online banking. However, since these are quite old models from 2018, very few smartphones are still in use. However, it would not be unthinkable, because smartphones are being used for longer and longer.

If you are looking for a new Xiaomi smartphone, you have a huge choice. The Chinese company has a smartphone in almost every price range. For example, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G (test) would be a good option if you want to be in the upper middle class. In the high-end range there is the Xiaomi 12. If you don’t want to spend that much money, the Redmi Note 11 would also be a good choice (check it out on Amazon). In any case, Xiaomi does not fail in terms of selection.
