Earlier this month, Samsung launched the Android 13 public beta testing program for Galaxy S22 series models. Today, however, the same program is starting for those who use some of last year’s Galaxy S21 models.
The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra can already run the first beta of Android 13, which also brings the refreshed One UI 5.0 user interface from Samsung to these phones.
First impressions are reported by the team from Great Britain, where this program is currently available.
In order to possibly join the program yourself and try Android 13 on your Galaxy S21 phone, you will do it through the Samsung Members application.
The Android 13 beta firmware for the Galaxy S21 models is tagged G99xBXXU5ZVHEwhere this x varies from model to model.
The official Android 13 update for the Galaxy S22 series will reportedly happen in mid-October.
It is to be expected that the Galaxy S21 series will have to wait a little longer, but it is still realistic to expect this update in November.
Samsung also confirms its efforts to be the best in software support for its phones from the Android side of the fence.
