Are you Apple hiring someone named Sam Sung? So yes. For over three years he helped people in the stores and now he earns money with his business card. That goes to a good cause, by the way.
In 2010, Sam Sung joined the Apple Buchanan Street store in Glasgow. But his internet fame didn’t come until two years later, when he worked at Apple Pacific Center in Vancouver. A customer took a photo of his business card, shared it online and the rest is history.
Sam Sung Apple business card for sale
In 2014, after he left Apple, Sam Sung already sold a business card. At the time, he received the equivalent of 2,500 euros for it. Proceeds went to The Children’s Wish Foundation and Yukon, two charities committed to children.
Now there is another ticket from him for sale on eBay and you can still bid. However, again you have to pay a huge amount for that small piece of paper. At the moment, $1,152 has already been bid (converted into euros that’s about the same these days). “A relative recently found this business card of the first original store I worked at, Apple Buchanan Street. It is in excellent condition. This is one of only two cards I know of that still exist,” he says on eBay.
Substantial amount goes to charity
The buyer will not only receive the business card, but also a T-shirt and a necklace with pendant. It says ‘I can make iPhone your phone’. All of this is framed, so you can hang the purchase right on your wall. If you are interested: shipping to the Netherlands is possible.
Okay, you have to bid hefty on former Apple salesman Sam Sung’s business card, but it’s not a waste of money. Proceeds will go to Downtown Eastside Women’s Center in Vancouver. This organization aims to “provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for self-identifying women (cisgender, transgender, 2S), from all walks of life”.
