Now, shortly before the presentation, a detail has been revealed that will surely please many Smartwatch fans. It’s all about the loading speed of the new clocks.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 charges faster

Samsung has made a complete fresh start with the Galaxy Watch 4. With the Galaxy Watch 5, Samsung is taking the next step and wants to appeal to more people with a Pro model. As has now become known, a disadvantage of the predecessors is to be eliminated. Samsung has integrated a quick charge function into the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. Just like with smartphones, you can then charge the new watches in less time:

A leaker posted pictures of the new charging station on Twitter and mentioned that it supports 10 watts. This should the new Watches can be charged to 45 percent in 30 minutes. This is faster than the Galaxy Watch 4, but probably even slower than the Apple Watch 7, which charges up to 80 percent in 45 minutes. If the Samsung watch were faster to load, the value would have been up to 80 percent.

Either way, the development is positive, because the slow loading speed of the old smartwatches is a disadvantage. For example, it often happens to me that I want to do sports quickly, but the watch no longer has enough battery life. A quick charge function is therefore a great advantage. Of the new charger also has a USB-C connector. The predecessor still had a USB-A connector, as I criticized when testing the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. So in the future you will no longer need two different power supplies with USB C and A if you have a modern Samsung cell phone and a smartwatch.
