Google’s contactless payment service has changed several names throughout history. G Pay became Google Wallet last month and for good reason, as it is not only used for payments but also for storing loyalty cards.
You should be able to add one of your debit or credit cards to Google Wallet, so instead of touching the card to the POS machine, do the same with your mobile phone.
The problem is that Wallet is only available in certain countries, and your bank must support Google Pay until yesterday, and Wallet today.
My bank doesn’t support Google Wallet, so I got around that with a Revolut card.
In any case, as of today, Wallet is available in six more countries in the world, and it finally arrived in Serbia, which was put in the same package with Modavia, Azerbaijan, JAR, Iceland and Qatar.
