The Huawei Mate 50 series will consist of at least three models, although there are rumors of a fourth. They will be Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro and Mate 50 RS Porsche Design models.
According to unofficial information available so far, the Mate 50 Pro will get a notch at the top of the screen, while the Mate 50 will have a selfie camera hole in the middle.
Due to the US sanctions, Huawei has problems with the supply of components, so it was chosen as the drive chip Snapdragon 8 Gen1 but with 4G connectivity. A rumor about a Mate phone with a Snapdragon 778G chip under the hood also suggests that there could be a fourth model in the game.
The regulatory agency 3C confirms three Mate 50 models and 66W, 40W and 10W charging, so you can count on them to be charged at maximum 66W. Past experiences say that you can convert it into a full battery in just under 40 minutes.
An interesting part of the rumors is the one about the cameras. That’s how the Huawei Mate 50 Pro will get 50MP main camera with variable aperture. Let’s recall that in the past there were already phones with such lenses, and the Galaxy S9 was the first to offer it. Its lens opened the aperture in the range of F/1.7 to F/2.4 as needed.
In addition to that 50MP main one, the Mate 50 Pro should also get 64MP telephoto periscope camera and 13MP ultra-wide. There are also rumors of a 40MP monochrome sensor, but it has not been confirmed.
As a reminder, the official presentation of the Huawei Mate 50 series is scheduled for September 6. that is, the day before the Apple iPhone 14 event.
