Looking at global markets, Xiaomi ranks in the Top 3 in 55 global markets in smartphone shipments for the second quarter of 2022 and in the Top 5 in 67 global markets. Xiaomi states that quarterly growth in market share was achieved in the Middle East, as well as in Europe, South America, Southeast Asia and Africa.
In terms of revenue outside China, Xiaomi recorded RMB 34 billion ($4.95 billion) in the second quarter of this year. Revenues abroad make up 48.4% of total revenues, which is almost half of the total revenue of the Chinese company.
When it comes to Xiaomi’s global recognition, in August of this year Xiaomi was included in the Fortune Global 500 list for the fourth year in a row and ranked 266th, which is 72 places better than last year.
In recent years, Xiaomi has significantly increased investment in its research and development department, in order to position itself as a premium brand in the market and is getting closer to becoming the world’s most popular brand in the smartphone industry.
