Sooner or later, Apple will equip most Macs with M2 processors. So far, the new chip is only offered in the normal version, no trace of Pro, Max or Ultra. But that should change soon. According to Ming Chi Kuo, Apple is set to launch a new MacBook Pro later this year.
Production with 3nm processor?
Above all, the question remains unclear as to what kind of production method the new processors should be manufactured with. Some sources are currently assuming that Apple could soon switch to 3nm processors. Kuo does not necessarily share the assessment, perhaps the new models are still based on 5nm processors.
New 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro with new processors will enter mass production in 4Q22. Given TSMC’s guidance that the 3nm will contribute revenue starting in 1H23, processors of 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro models may still adopt the 5nm advanced node.TrendingThe Greatest Beer Run Ever: Apple TV+ releases trailer
