On August 10, Samsung will unveil a slew of new products during its Unpacked and the star may not be the one we think. Sure, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are going to be eye-catching, but unless a third foldable phone is on the cards, as some people imagine, it should just be an evolution. . The biggest new features could therefore be seen on the accessories side, with the Galaxy Watch 5 and 5 Pro and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.

It is precisely the latter who are talking about them through a leak orchestrated by the very serious WinFuture. The opportunity to discover some technical characteristics of these highly anticipated Bluetooth headphones.

Apart from their reworked design compared to the previous generation, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro should also highlight their isolation capabilities from the outside world. WinFuture speaks of a ” intelligent active noise reduction “able to hide”even the loudest ambient noise“. The Galaxy Buds 2 are already doing well in this area for their price, but are still far from the Sony WF-1000xM4 or Apple’s AirPods Pro. We therefore hope that this “Pro” version will balance the scales.

Studio-quality sound

Samsung’s communication would also bet on a sound of “studio quality“, a rather vague and difficult term to conceive of on Bluetooth headphones, but which nevertheless denotes a certain desire to improve sound quality across the entire frequency spectrum. A surround experience would also be included to offer 360° virtualized sound, which is reminiscent of Apple’s Audio Spatial.

Microphone management would also be improved. The voice of the user or user would be better isolated from ambient noise to be more highlighted during calls. In addition, a conversation mode would recognize the voice of its or its owner to switch to transparency mode as soon as a discussion is started, without triggering inopen spacefor example or in the street. If you’re the type to hum while listening to your music, however, this mode is not for you.

8 hours of battery life

Among the other technical characteristics delivered by WinFuture, we can mention the 10 mm drivers, the IPx7 certification guaranteeing reasonable immersion protection, as well as an autonomy of 8 hours. It is not said however if it is a value with active noise reduction or not. In the first case, it would be truly excellent, in the second, a completely traditional result, already encountered on the brand’s previous models.

This autonomy should be brought up to 29 hours with the USB-C rechargeable transport case. Connectivity would be via Bluetooth 5.3.

The European release of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is expected on August 26, 2022 at 229 euros (price may vary depending on the country).
