Across all markets, 623,627 job advertisements were published in May alone, that is, 2.2 million of them in the current part of the year. This is a growth of 52 percent compared to the same period last year.
Companies in the technology sector employed 22,8000 new people during May, but there were as many as 204,084 ads looking for software developers and engineers. This is an increase of 77,000 compared to April.
When looking at the overall situation on the American labor market, 106,700 people were employed in the technology sector in the first five months of 2022, which is a growth of 69 percent compared to the same period last year.
In addition to witnessing an increase in the demand for network engineers, architects, “systems”, data processing, hosting and related services… there has also been a demand for experts handling emerging technologies. There were even a third of such ads as well. And the only drop in demand occurred in telecommunications.
Also, the demand for “tech” experts of all kinds has been recorded in various industries, from finance, manufacturing, retail, education, healthcare, public administration, insurance, science, technical services…

But the effort in this sector pays off and can ultimately pay off. That’s why you should be persistent and learn the basics of a certain “technological skill” because a job will certainly not be missing in that case.
