Everything from the introduction notcha Due to less space in the status bar, Apple phones have removed the display of the percentage of battery capacity. In the meantime, iPhone users have gotten used to dragging their finger from the top of the screen to display the same.
Since there are still those who would prefer to see a detailed display of battery percentage constantly in the status bar, iOS 16 has brought it back. Although in a slightly controversial way, which is also not liked by many.
They don’t like him because he’s kind of illogical. Namely, the percentage of remaining capacity is now displayed inside the battery icon. At the same time, the battery is filled with white color until it drops to 20%, when one fifth of the icon is colored red, and the rest is transparent.
That may still change, but what won’t is which models will even be able to display the battery percentage in the status bar.
Not everyone will get it, and Apple has now officially confirmed which models will miss this feature. These are: iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini.
So, if you use one of these models, for a detailed display of how much battery you have left, you will still have to drag your finger from the top of the screen, as before.
If you are on one of the supported iPhone models, you can turn on the battery percentage display in the status bar in Settings/Battery/Battery percentage.
