Every time Apple introduces new iPhone models, a frantic search for their flaws and shortcomings begins.
Throughout history, we have had “antennagate” in which the iPhone 4 lost network signal when it was held “wrongly”. The iPhone 6 Plus had its “bendgate” because it bent under the pressure of solid buttocks. iPhone Xs had its own “selfiegate” when many were dissatisfied with selfie photos.
Now that the iPhone 14 models have arrived on the market, we are looking for some new “gate”, some new affair.
Their “gates” could simply be never higher device prices, especially in some markets, where the same models are two hundred euros more expensive.
Here, however, we are talking about problems with the camera, which are reported by some users of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models.
Namely, it seems that their new 48MP camera does not really like to cooperate with popular applications such as Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok, so when starting the camera through these applications, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max produce very unpleasant sounds, and the camera seems to shake uncontrollably.
In addition to strange sounds, the result is unusable recordings, which really does not befit a new phone of such caliber and price.
Watch and listen for yourself how awful it sounds:
The good news is that not all iPhone 14 Pro users have these problems.
The camera of my test iPhone 14 Pro Max works equally well in all applications and without any sounds, so I guess these are isolated cases. Apple immediately replaced the devices with new ones for those who complained about these problems.
