Xiaomi’s 200MP camera phone has been rumored for quite some time, and as things stand, it will be part of the upcoming Xiaomi 12T series of phones.
As announced by the portal Winfuture, Xiaomi will present the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro phones next week, where only this Pro will get that famous 200MP camera on the back.
According to unofficial information, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will be a flagship phone equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
It will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 power chip with 8 or 12GB of RAM depending on the region and 256GB of data storage. Its battery will have a capacity of 5000mAh and will be charged at 120W.
It will have a triple camera on the back, and the 200Mp main camera certainly attracts the most attention. It has not been confirmed, but it is most likely Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 sensor from the end of 2021, i.e. the same one that the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra has.
It will not particularly impress other cameras. There are also 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro cameras.
The Xiaomi 12T will be a very similar phone, reportedly identical in design, display and battery with the basic difference in cameras and power chip. Namely, it will be powered by Dimensity 8100 Ultra again with 8/12GB RAM and 256GB data memory.
On the back, instead of 200MP, it will have a 108MP main camera.
Winfuture he also knows the prices, so he states that the Xiaomi 12T Pro will cost €849, making it €50 cheaper than Motorola. The Xiaomi 12T will cost €649.
While Motorola, Xiaomi and the team are going for 200MP, Apple is going up to 48MP this fall. See the unboxing and first impressions of the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro Max:
