One of the best gaming phones this year is certainly the fourth-generation ROG Phone 6 Pro equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip with up to 18GB of RAM, a 165Hz screen, ultrasonic gaming buttons on the side, a 6000mAh battery and support for the AeroActive Cooler 6 cooling system. Asus is now expanding its ROG Phone 6 series with two more models, named ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate.
The design and most of the key specifications do not differ from the rest of the ROG Phone 6 team, so they have 6.78-inch OLED screens with a 165Hz refresh rate. They also have the same set of cameras with a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro camera on the back and a 12MP selfie camera on the front.
They have a 6000mAh battery with 65W charging and stereo speakers, on the back one has a glowing logo, and the other has a secondary screen.
The biggest difference is that these D models are powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000+ drive chip with 16/256 or 16/512GB of working or data memory.
In addition, this ROG Phone 6D Ultimate also received a special opening for blowing cold air straight to its processor, while the company’s AeroActive Cooler 6 fan is on the back.
Asus calls that opening AeroActive Portaland it opens and closes automatically, bringing cold air literally to the chip on one side, and releasing warm air on the other side.
Despite this opening, the device is IPx6 certified.
These two new phones will soon appear on the market, and will cost €949 and €1,399, respectively.
