Next Wednesday, September 7, the Apple event will find Far Out Place. In addition to the iPhone 14, the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Pro will probably also be presented. But according to one ‘delicious’, the hardware gets a significant addition.
There have been persistent rumors about the Watch Pro for some time. It would be a larger, robust smartwatch, aimed primarily at endurance athletes and walkers.
The Apple Watch Pro is going to be a big boy
With the view that the clock is intended for athletes, it is understandable that the Pro is becoming more robust. The watch will probably get a sturdier titanium case.
In addition, the Watch Pro is also getting bigger. The largest Apple Watch before this was 45 millimeters, the Pro would be 47 millimeters. The advantage of this is that a larger battery fits in it, which is of course very pleasant for endurance athletes.
Unlike the ‘regular’ Apple Watch, which is quite round, we expect the design of the Pro to be more angular. The curvature of the glass would also disappear.
However, all these design details are a piece of cake compared to the latest rumor. Yummy Sonny Dickson has in fact posted a photo on its Twitter account of a housing accessory that may be for the Pro. And the most notable fact is that it looks like the Pro is getting a knot on the left side.
That is not so far fetched, by the way: athletes and runners in particular prefer physical buttons instead of a touchscreen. These are more responsive, especially when it rains, for example. In addition, it seems that the crown and button on the right side are a bit ‘higher’ than previous Apple Watches.
We’ll have to wait and see if we get to see the Apple Watch Pro next Wednesday. In addition, there is (of course) nothing known about a possible price. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman suggests the price will be between $900 and $1,000. So it’s a pretty pricey watch.
